In the Triples event, again excellent bowling was seen in the First

, Trevethin, Goytre and Abertillery Bowls Centre getting into the quarter
finals. In the semi-finals there were hard fought matches with close results
between Dave Gibbons team from Pontnewynyd and Bryan Green’s team from
Abertillery Bowls Centre with Dave Gibbons going through to the Final, the other
finalists were the three ladies from Llangattock, Gay Best, Carole Lewis and Lil
Jones. Dave Gibbons, Chris Martin and Bill Bruton proved to be too strong for
the Llangattock team and went out as the overall winners. The trophies were
presented to the Winners and Runners up by the Assistant Director of Leisure Mr.
